Know Namdapha National Park!
The Namdapha National Park is situated in the district of Changlang, Arunachal Pradesh. The Park lies quite near to the India-China border. The park was established in the year 1972 and was further declared as a Tiger Reserve in the year 1983. The park covers an area of around 1985.23sq.kms, which abounds in natural vegetation cover. The height of region varies from place to place i.e. 4500 meters -200 meters. The park is drained by a large number of rivers like River Namdapha, River noa-Dehing and River Deban.

Flora- Due to the variation in height, the region abounds in diverse vegetation cover. The lower regions mainly comprises of Tropical rainforest that includes Hollock trees, Mekai trees, Hollong trees, giant creepers, bamboo trees, tall cane etc. The higher regions are covered with deciduous forest along with the alpine and the temperate forest still following in higher altitudes. Here one can see trees like Oak, Betula, Pine, Rhododendrons, and Magnolia etc. Blue Vanda one of the rare orchids is found here in Namdapha.
Fauna- There are various species of animals found here like Tiger, Snow leopard, Leopard, Clouded leopard, Hoolock Gibbon, Indian python, King cobra etc. One can also see a large number of birds like White-winged Wood Duck, Giant Hornbill, Satyr Tragopan, Kalij, Owl, Monal Pheasants and many more.

How to reach!
Air- The closest airport is located at Dibrugarh, Assam.
Rail- The chief railhead is situated at Tinsukia, Assam.
Road- One can easily get a bus from Tinsukia, which would take one till Miao. From there one can hire a bus or taxi for visiting the Park.
