The Chilka Lake Bird Sanctuary is located in the state of Orissa and is very near to Bhubneshwar city. It is known to be the largest inland salt-water lagoon in Asia. The lake is spread over an area of 1100 square Kms and acquires the shape of a pear. The sound ecosystem of the lake attracts the various species of birds and water birds. The park is a home for both native and migratory birds.
