Mundanthurai Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Tirunelveli district and covers a vast area of around 567.38sq.kms. The sanctuary comprises of various hills like Anaimalai Hills, Nilgiri Hills etc. that adds to the beauty of the place. The sanctuary is also famous for the Agasthyamalai falls, which is considered as an important place for plant diversity in India. The place receives a maximum rainfall of around 9000mm and a minimum of 1000mm. The sanctuary is rich in natural cover that comprises of tropical forests, dry deciduous forests and moist evergreen forests etc.
